So another week is nearly finished. Not much happens for me during the week. On Tuesday night, Dad handed me his ticket for the pipe organ concert that was on at the cathedral. The concert had been organised by one of dad’s mates, Les, who had decided to musically document the life Charles Marie Widor, who was almost a one-hit-wonder of the pipe organ composition, though composed a lot of stuff in his 90+ years. So it was both a musical education as well as an aural delight.
Upon my return home last night, Steve and Ann (our 4th door neighbours) had only minutes earlier, returned from their 5 week trip around the country in their Land Rover Defender. Some of you may not know, but in preparation for this trip, Steve and I were changing the springs, when suddenly, the very same land rover crashed down on my leg. This was the Monday of the May Day long weekend. I got to ride in an ambulance and ride around the hospital in a wheelchair and get x-rays ‘n’ stuff. Cool fun. Fortunately, I’m super tough, so all that happened was soft tissue damage. I went to the physio and actually DID the exercises, so now, my knee is virtually completely recovered - thanks for your concern.
I didn’t stay long, as they’d obviously literally just returned, so I let them settle back in to their house.
So today was work as per usual. Liam called during my lunch break to see if I wanted to go out for a beer. I wouldn’t mind if I didn’t have an 8-5 job. Oh well, but we’re hangin out on Sunday anyway, havin a fly and all that jazz - Liam bought a plane too teehee.
Tonight’s exercise: 60kg dead lifts (craploads), interspersed with 25kg lat pulldowns (craploads of them too), followed by 35kg two-arm bicep curls (lots of these suckers too - are you detecting a theme?), and craploads of 8kg “hammers”. Arms are swollen with blood.
