Tales from the crypt yo

Holla folks. Take a seat, anywhere will do, and listen up: I’m talking here.

What’s news? The weekend was great, let me break it down:

Saturday, up bright and early for markets with Rob Wilson. I bought prawns and apples, plus the usual market-related food that one eats while walking around. Rob and I economised for breakfast, since Harvey’s is “Under New Management” and it has gone downhill. We had a Hot Hungarian sausage (settle down, Leyton) on a roll, with sauerkraut from the Chriberg butcher. Then Rob went to buy a fridge, and I went with to look around. I had work to do that afternoon, and then the boyz from the hood - possibly the whitest “hood” in history - came around and we walked to the football to see the Lions lose. Boo.

Sunday was mother’s day, and Mum was cut that we missed out on McDonalds breakfast due to a timing error, but I brought pikelets and Ice Break, so there’s a good breakfast right there. Had a nice day really - Karen and her kids visited, Chris and Celia visited, Gary and Ro visited which made for a very social day. I went with Woo down to the park to be his model plane “gopher” and made the decision that I wanted one too. I did a phenomenal (for me) amount of research, and decided on a ParkZone F-27B Stryker. It arrives this week, and I’m not denying that I’m excited. I’ll post some photos shortly of what it looks like.

Also Sunday I went to the movies with Dan, Tim and Leyton and saw 28 Weeks Later, which I’m sure you know is the sequel to 28 Days Later. Not bad, I quite enjoyed it, although I was disappointed that things got progressively worse because people didn’t just do what they were told. How hard is that?

Anyway, there was some talk of going to America this week, that’s not going to happen so soon. Still a “maybe” for very soon at no notice, but not this week I think.
