Holy craaaap

My my, I’d almost forgotten that I had a blog for a while. A whole hell of a lot has happened since I last wrote.

The week before mum and dad came home, I loaded up the car with my foosball table, my guitar and some clothes, and went on a drive to Rockhampton. Jake had invited me to come play guitar on a camp near Gladstone that he was assisting in running. I had a great time, making new friends, hanging out with old ones, and generally whoopin people’s ass at foosball with one hand behind my back. Yay me. I was even adopted by three teenage girls as their new big brother :D I played my guitar more in that week than I have probably in the last year.

I came home in time for mum and dad to come home. Dad had virtually completely recovered from his bypass surgery, and I wouldn’t have guessed that he’d had one just months earlier if I didn’t know. It was quite amazing. They were both happy to be home as you could imagine.

Not long after, Candice and I started hangin out more and more, and our friendship quickly developed into a relationship. We’ve been going out nearly a month now, and a great month at that. We’ve been spending a lot of time together, and really enjoying each other’s company.

On the weekend, I sold my old car CD player to my cousin Amy, and installed it in her car. It was a trip down memory lane pluggin away at the old corolla, though not without a few hiccups. I bought a spanky new multi-meter and quickly put it to good use, though a few fuses had blown and were rendering it practically useless. After we got that sorted, I had to run a new power wire, which fortunately was very easy, thanks to an existing hole in the firewall from when I had to run a power cable for my amp when I owned the car. Woohoo, job done, mission accomplished.

Brycey came hom on Friday night, and of course Dean came home from hospital on Friday morning, It seemed to happen all at once there for a few days. We had poker last night because Bryce flew out this morning and would therefore miss out if it were on Wednesday as usual. I wasn’t in much of a poker mood and wasn’t getting very good cards, so I got bored and went all in with nothing and was promptly leaving the table. That suited me fairly well because I had to prepare for what would follow the next day.

Went and saw the Lions just scrap in a victry against Hawthorne at the Gabba with Candice’s family too the other night, and that was good fun. My first AFL game, and probably not my last. The atmosphere is pretty electric when it heats up in the stadium.

I had a pretty good day today. I spent the day walking around the warehouse with a trolley, picking up bits and pieces and putting em in the cart as per the orders that had been received. I must’ve walked a few kilometres today I’d say. I did 7.5 hours today, and tomorrow I only have 5, because there were some problems with the computers, and they couldn’t keep up with my cracking pace. And because I have the 3 hours free, I’m going to go and have afternoon tea with Candice and Julie at Southbank. Today was the first day in about two weeks or so where we hadn’t seen each other at all.

Anyway, thats all for now. I’m gonna get ready for bed as tomorrow is another early morning (by my standards).
Peace.
