I don’t think I suffer Monday-itis. Monday is a great day for me really - I only have one committment, and that’s uni from 5-6. I drive in and usually get a close park, and the traffic’s clear enough for a smooth drive home after, so Monday is great.
Tuesday on the other hand is a day of monolithic proportion. I start uni at 9am, and go through to 7pm with only a 1 hour break from 11-12. The traffic is always bad on Tuesdays because of the time I have to get to uni, and I’m going home in the dark, which isn’t pleasant on a bus.
But all that aside, I had a constructive day. Our tutor for the technology subject we’re doing isn’t very helpful technically or operationally (very good theoretically), so I spent the last hour and a quarter of tonight helping everyone else in my class try and get the computers to work. We’re creating an “Integrated ‘Information Communication Technology’ Resource”, utilising Movie Maker, Power point, and sound recording programs. Anyway, while trying to get the microphone to work, the only advice the teacher could offer was that “you need to unpress some mute button to get it to work”. Left a little to be desired anyway. I had some fun playing around with the people in the class anyway.
Dad came home today, and feelin’ a little sore and sorry for himself, but what else should be expected? He’s had invasive chest surgery, as well as having a sizable incision in his leg (what they use to make the bypass for those who don’t know).
Tomorrow I think I’ll hitch a ride over and hang out with Liam for a little while. Won’t be able to stay too long cos Dad needs a good bit of looking after, but a beer or two might well be on the cards. And of course poker in the evening. Looking forward to testing out my skills after a week’s hiatus from being in the Vegas High-roller rooms :p
