No pizza hangover

If you can believe it, I somehow avoided the pizza hangover problem this morning. Yesterday was a pizza-centric day, seeing as I made it myself for lunch with Leyton, and then got invited to Glara’s for pizza and pasta night for dinner.

‘Twas a good weekend, really. Leyton and Bek came around for a spontaneous 24 session, which was good, but is starting to get annoying. Leyton had to skidaddle pretty promptly, as his studies beckoned, but it was still a fun night. Bek and I agreed to go to Panyiri on Saturday to check it out. I worked on financials for Price Point, and then went to bed.

Slept till about midday, and then slowly came into consciousness. We hit Panyiri at about 3pm, which was coincidentally when it opened. I think we misread the situation somewhat. If we had a group that was prepared to sit in the sun all afternoon, drinking Greek beer and eating Greek food, then it would’ve been perfect. Instead, we had a small group that were all driving, and it was too hot. We didn’t last long, although foolishly promised ourselves that we’d go back later.

We didn’t, of course. Instead we had dinner at the Thai Phoenix, which was great. Pre-dinner, we’d entertained the possibility of rocking back into the Greek Festival to get some baklava for desert. Post-dinner, we were too full to move comfortably. So we went back to my place. Brett and I watched the Lions, while Bek napped on the couch.

Sunday, visited M&D and went grocery shopping with M. Went home with a determination to make my first risotto, and it wasn’t bad, if I do say so myself.
