Classy start eh? I’m sorry for no update on Friday, but I was home from work, sick. Poor, poor me. :wtc: Went out partyin at Glara’s place Friday night, which was a hoot, with Glara, Lates and Blacky. I gave Lates his overdue birthday present - San Juan, the card game version of Puerto Rico. I also picked up a copy of a new game, Ticket to Ride … NOT a chicken to ride as the song suggests.
Saturday I slept in as best I could, sans some idiot ringing at 7am with a wrong number. Rob W and I were having breakfast later that morning, but I went back to sleep anyway. Luckily, he was running late, so a 11-am-ish breakfast meant I was almost to the point of being sociable. Leyton came around that afternoon and we all just sort of killed time all afternoon. San Juan got a go or two. Blacky went out somewhere. Rob W went home. Leyton went home. I went to bed.
Sunday, Mother’s Day and I headed over to M&D’s for the traditional Mother’s Day breakfast. It’s kinda mutated in our household … on Mother’s Day, Mum cooks breakfast and we all visit with good presents, as opposed to when we were younger and we cooked and didn’t have good presents. We all chipped in together and bought sheets for her latest bedroom renovation project, and a vase, quite nice and also for the bedroom renovation project, or elsewhere as she sees fit. Lovely morning, and then I went home to stooge around doing nothing in particular.
Yesterday Leyton and I had a business meeting with our supplier, which I thought was a joke, and he thought was a serious matter. It had the potential to get serious, but at that stage it was a joke. It was finalized that the supplier would tell us what we’d have to do to continue, and this morning they said they were going to raise our prices. We furiously double-teamed him with all the reasons why we wouldn’t, and we’ll see where that gets us.
Let me just say this now: I think the new series of Big Brother could be good. I think Channel 10 sucks balls for not putting Criminal Intent on, however. Also, next week, Episode 2 of Star Wars is on at 8:30pm … great, but where’s Criminal Intent you b a s t a r d s? Honestly, NCIS is entertaining to watch, partly because of the terrible characters and terrible acting, and you can get your crime drama fix from it, but Criminal Intent is a whole other ballgame. C’mon Channel 10 … get your act together!
