Haha, busted
Yeah, Lara just busted me for welshing on my promise to drop her DVDs back. I’m doing it this afternoon, just a bit later. Oops! :thefinger:
So, my life is fixing computers and websites at the moment - pretty uninspired I know. I’ve also got to seriously start recording this new video and making a new demo CD for work - time is slipping away.
In this paragraph I outline the problem with the PCs I’m fixing, so feel free to skip ahead if you’re scared of acronyms. M&D’s PC is coming along nicely - turns out it DOES have two front USB ports, and also front audio. 
Not that they’ll use that. But the thing NOW is that I was going to use a new SATA hard drive, but their slightly older motherboard won’t allow it to boot from a SATA drive. :wtc: So, they’re going to inherit my slightly older drive, and I’ll take the SATA one. Not a perfect solution, but it’ll work out best for everyone this way.
The website is so close we can taste it … but typically, that also means it’s too far out of reach to launch. That’s the sucky part. We know what the problem is though, and we know which piece is broken. Then, once we’re live, we still have to get around to credit card processing. It’s an ongoing drama.
In other news, I need to go shopping tonight and acquire dog-related groceries. They’ve even eaten their DOG FOOD while M&Ds have been away - I guess that shows how much of their diet is normally made up of treats. Now, there’s no dry dogfood left. Also news - Chaz has discovered his bark. It sounds a lot more fierce than Simba’s, because his voicebox is monged. Doesn’t make it any less loud though.
The weekend can’t come soon enough. I’ve got practically no clean clothes, I’m tired, the house is messy and I seriously need to work on other people’s websites. Just thinking about it makes me even more tired, which sends me into a tragic tailspin of tiredness run amok. Will our hero make it another day? Tune in tomorrow to find out.
