Hey all,
Well, this weekend was absolutely awesome
I had been working nightshift all of last week, which was quite nice - It almost fits in with my normal sleeping hours. So Saturday, I don’t remember if Jake came over here, or if I went there… I think both happened. He was here for a while, then we were at his place, and then here again. He got a message from his friend saying how bored she was, so we went and got her, and we all went into the valley to see some bands play.
We caught the train to Brunswick Street and walked up the mall to the Troubador, who were billing Tonjip and Thirsty Merc. Tonjip is one of Steve’s bands, so he reccomended them and they were good, and thirsty merc were great. It was just Rai and Sean, but they still went off.
And I started talking to this girl, Wendy, who was sitting nearby, and I got her number. The gig finished, and Jake, Amy and myself wandered the valley trying to find somewhere good to stop. We didn’t really find anywhere of interest, so we just walked home, from the Valley to Clayfield… only happens when you’re drunk I think.
So Sunday, is really a blur. Not much happened. Jake and I went driving around, intending to visit people. We bought some DVD’s from a sale on at Blockbuster, and we watched them. Saw “The Punisher”, which I really enjoyed, because we had it as a game on the computer back when 486’s were the shiz.
We went around to Rowena’s place, but she wasn’t home. They had a chilli bush outside their front door, and I dared Jake to squeeze some into a burn he had, which he did - I should really pay up on that dare. Then we went to Katie’s, and she too was not home, so we went back to my house.
Had dinner at Jake’s, and then I had to go home, because I had to work this morning.
Today, work was CRAZY. The other guy (Vladimir) who’s usually in my area wasn’t there, so I pretty much took all his duties. I had NO idea what I was doing at first, and I’m still pretty shakey on it, so, tomorrow, if I’m doing it again, should be easier. I also had to help out the new guy who was there out cos Vlad was gone.
An enjoyable day really, because with all the extra tasks, I wasn’t bored when things slowed down - I got to enjoy the break a little.
Adios
