Monday already eh? Hasn’t it been cold lately? What’s the deal with that?
Friday night was John’s place for Sopranos and curry. He always makes the best Korma, and supplemented this with a bought Butter Chicken and naan bread. I took a bottle of vino and some cheesecake for desert, and the meal was great. John’s down to 1 sofa, which made things a little cosy, but we still watched 2 episodes of Season 4 on DVD. Only 2 episodes of Season 4 to go, which is great, but also a little sad - the perfect time to use the “happysad” emoticon - :happysad: Oh, there was some comedy on SBS late Friday night, a Chinese-American called Margret Cho. She was funny in that dirty-joke kinda way, but her jokes took a…g…e…s to tell, because she kept waiting for the stupid audience to stop laughing before delivering the next joke. I watched it for maybe an hour, with about 1/2 hour of acutal monologue. It got more painful than watching Gretel Killeen clap her hands in time with her own voice.
Saturday I was up bright and early with a big day’s shopping planned. I bought my pot that I wanted first … 16L, 4mm thick Aluminium. It’s industrial and I love it. Executive Chef on Merrivale Street - that’s a fabulous shop. You could seriously blow some scratch in there, know what I’m saying?
Then I bought a new pullover. Nice, but more money than anyone should spend on keeping warm. Then I bought groceries and headed home, just in time for the Lions. I was completely stuffed though, and fell asleep nap-style before the game finished. Then I made pasta and got a bit drunk watching the Rugby and then the Broncos in Rugby League. Fell asleep before the end of that, too.
Sunday, I went to M&D’s for dog visitation. My aunt and her kids came over a bit later, and you could plainly see that our dogs no longer fear kids, thanks muchly to “Benny the Lion Tamer” who stayed at our house last week. Ahaha. Mum and Woo made Lemon Butter, which mum ate practically like soup, such is her love for it. Eventually, I went home and watched the documentary about the lion that kept adopting deer calves as her cub. Very interesting, but told by perhaps the most annoying film-maker on the planet. I fell asleep long before Gorran got a chance to do his thing, unfortuantely.
